AMF outlines specialized committees duties

Asian Mayor Forum has reviewed the performance and duties of its five specialized committees' secretary.


Asian Mayor Forum has reviewed the performance and duties of its five specialized committees' secretary during a meeting, on 4 August, 2019 At the permanent secretariat of AMF.

Mehdi Piri, AMF's Public Relations Director reported that, the committees' secretariats, Dr Bina for Smart Cities committees, Abdollahi for Urban Traffic and Transportation, Dr. Islami for Resilient Cities, Dr. Mansouri for Livable Cities, have presented their plans and ideas and shared the schedules to the Secretary-General of AMF, Dr. Goshtasb Mozaffari,  

It has been decided that the secretaries of the committees would be responsible for publishing the activities, content, books, journals, databases on the AMF's website as well as other virtual networks, linking their LinkedIn page with AMF's official page, creating a calendar for each their committee, formation of a group of relevant experts in each of the committees, preparing the ongoing subjects for the sequential meetings, paving the ground for having agreements with a qualitative output for each committee during the next 3 years.

During the meeting at the permanent secretariat of AMF, Dr. Goshtasb Mozaffari the AMF Secretary-General emphasizing the key role of specialized committees for the achievement of AMF's goals added, " The committees are expected to be able to attract active and effective participation of domestic and international scientific and specialized institutions and bodies" and he continued that "Providing consulting services, holding workshops and courses, as well as scientific and specialized meetings will help to the forum's goal achievement".

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Goshtasb Mozaffari appointed Mr. Amir Foaad Mohseni in the position of Deputy of Development and Research of AMF which was led by Mr. Mohammadi previously.

Based on the Gaziantep Declaration, adopted during the Fifth Conference of AMF's General Assembly on December 2018, the activity of the AMF Committees continues during the current period by 2021.

The next meeting for coordinating the committees will be held on Sunday, August 27.
